NITRO Lacrosse began operations in early 2011 in El Dorado Hills, CA with a simple mission - 'provide a local, affordable and flexible off-season opportunity for the youth and high school players of El Dorado Hills, CA'.
As the sport explodes across the West, the demand for ‘introductory’ level camps and clinics has grown. To meet that demand NITRO has expanded its focused to bringing new youth players to the game.
The NITRO intro clinic is an enthusiastic first exposure to the basics of the game. Our beginners camp provides a foundation of fundamental individual skills and gets players ready to play for (and contribute to) their local team.
As we expand our reach through Northern California to help local communities start and grow their youth programs, we continue to grow our network of NITRO ‘local, affordable and flexible off-season opportunities' for developing clubs and their players.
More than just a game – NITRO is committed to developing fine young men and women through team sport. Our founder Garth Leone, was influenced by a book called “The Season of Life” (Jeffery Marx) and by the friend that gave it to him. Doug Smith, coached with Garth for 3 seasons and then lost a short and painful battle with cancer. Garth is committed to the development of athletes beyond the game in honor of his friend.
